Taste of Chicago
Every year during the week of July 4, Chicago has something called The Taste of Chicago in Grant Park. Lots of Chicago restaurants set up tents and serve food. You go down and buy tickets and then use the tickets to trade for food and beverages. Most stands have about 4 entrees that cost 6-10 tickets and then they have their "taste of" portion that only costs 3 tickets. We like to go and see how many "taste" portions we can get for our tickets. It can be everything from fried cheese to pad thai noodles to sesame beef on a stick to flavored Italian ice. I scored big on a dessert taste that was as big as some entrees. It was chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream in a chocolate shell on a stick. Yummy.
I went down with 3 seminary friends on Monday. Here we are at the "El" platform.
Les and me eating our "taste" portions. Toasted ravioli for me, Italian ice for him.
My favorite picture - the three corn lovers.
