Fun with the camera

I'm playing with the camera to try to capture the Christmas spirit in my home without all the bright white flashiness of the flash. I don't think I'm very good at this, but here are a few views of my tree, fireplace and cat. Which do you think looks best?

I'm listening to Celtic Christmas music and trying to accomplish some domestic things like dishes and removing laundry from the dryer where it has been for the past 3 days. I think the Christmas shopping is done. Now I just need 2 sermons for Wednesday. Children and adult.
